Growing up in Brooklyn, with his parents and sisters he quickly developed a knowledge and passion for cooking. His father being a chef led to the apple not falling far from the tree. His creativity and his enthusiasm stem from his roots but also from wanting to set an example to his own kids that cooking is fun and rewarding. His favorite shape is creste de gallo the coolest shape.
