After spending 17 years in NY's staffing and recruiting industry, Dan left the corporate world to enroll in the Institute of Culinary Education's Culinary Management program. During and following his studies, Dan took on several internships with local neighborhood food establishments in order to immerse himself in what it takes to run a small community business. In 2020 Dan traveled to Italy to study artisanal gelato at length in Bologna and Florence. Dan was Pasta Louise's first employee and makes up part of its leadership team. He's a NYC native who's lived in Park Slope since 1997 and can often be found running down frisbees in Prospect Park and enjoying Casarecce, his favorite pasta.
