What is Pasta Louise?

Pasta Louise, owned by Allison Arevalo and Dan Romero, is an Italian restaurant in Park Slope built around fresh pasta and the idea that pasta brings people together. We serve comforting, seasonal food in a relaxed neighborhood setting for families, friends, dates and celebrations.

Where are the Pasta Louise locations in Brooklyn?

Pasta Louise has three Park Slope locations, each made for a different kind of visit.

Restaurant on 12th Street - 1114 8th Avenue: A full-service restaurant for dinner, weekend meals, date nights and celebrations.

Cafe on 8th Street - 803 8th Avenue: Counter service, takeout, delivery, coffee, soft serve, and fresh pasta and sauces to cook at home.

Bar Louise - 221 7th Avenue: A dreamy cocktail bar and restaurant with natural wine, dinner and a back patio.

Is Pasta Louise near Prospect Park?

Yes. The Restaurant and Cafe are both right the park, making Pasta Louise an easy stop before or after Prospect Park, Grand Army Plaza or a day around the neighborhood.

Does Pasta Louise take reservations?

Yes. Reserve the full-service restaurant on 12th street through Resy. We also save plenty of tables for walk-ins. Please include babies and children in the party size. The Cafe is walk-in counter service, and Bar Louise also books through Resy.

Is Pasta Louise good for families and kids?

Very much so. We have a kids menu and simple favorites such as fresh pasta with butter and cheese or tomato sauce, and we even have a kid's charcuterie board! Please include every child and baby in your reservation. Dogs are welcome on the restaurant's outdoor patio when weather allows.

What kind of food does Pasta Louise serve?

Fresh pasta is at the center of the menu: our chef chooses a shape, and guests choose a sauce and add-ons. We also serve from-scratch starters, salads, vegetables, meatballs, focaccia and homemade desserts, with seasonal dishes throughout the year.

Does Pasta Louise have gluten-free, vegetarian or vegan options?

Yes. Pasta dishes can be made with fresh gluten-free pasta, and we offer vegetarian and vegan-friendly choices. Our gluten-free pasta is made in house, and we cook it separately from our regular pasta. Read the current menu and tell your server about dietary needs. Our kitchens also handles wheat and other allergens, so guests with celiac disease or serious allergies should ask the team about cross-contact.

Is Pasta Louise nut-free? How do you handle food allergies?

Pasta Louise is a nut-free restaurant! We do not use peanuts or tree nuts. We also do not use soy or sesame. We can accommodate almost any food allergy, so please be sure to tell your server about your allergies, or send us a message before your visit. 

Does Pasta Louise offer takeout, delivery or fresh pasta to cook at home?

Yes. The Cafe on 8th Street offers takeout, delivery and counter service, plus coffee, soft serve, prepared meals, and fresh pasta and sauce to cook at home. You can also order online.

Groups, celebrations and community

Can Pasta Louise host a group dinner or private event?

Yes! Parties of up to 12 can reserve through Resy. Groups of 13 - 30 can book a semi-private pasta party in the Bar Room with banquette seating, a hand-painted mural and a family-style menu. For larger or fully private celebrations, Pasta Louise hosts weddings, showers, mitzvahs, birthdays and other events for up to 80 guests. Does Pasta Louise offer catering in Brooklyn?

What is Bar Louise?

Bar Louise is Pasta Louise's cocktail bar and restaurant at 221 7th Avenue in Park Slope. Expect gorgeous cocktails, natural wine, delicious bites, a dimly lit dining room and a back patio. Menus, specials and reservations are at barlouisenyc.com.

We make fresh pasta and most of our food from scratch, but the real point is bringing people together. Pasta Louise pairs comforting food with unexpected hospitality: a warm welcome, a neighborhood-first team, and a place where an ordinary dinner can become a lasting memory.

How does Pasta Louise support the Brooklyn community?

Community has been part of Pasta Louise since we opened in 2020. We host neighborhood events, support local causes and created the Pasta Rose Scholarship for Brooklyn high school students who have lost a parent to cancer. Learn more on the scholarship page.
